About us

Dr. Chris Jones formed Florida Economic Advisors in 2003, after more than a decade of private and public sector experience. His career began in 1992 as an associate economist with Fishkind & Associates, later moving on to become the Director of Economic Consulting for MSCW, one of Central Florida's largest urban planning and engineering firms. After serving a term as the City of Orlando's Chief Economist, Dr. Jones moved to Tampa and started FEA. He posesses a Ph.D. in economics from the University of South Florida, as well as 4 other degrees from top accreditied institutions such as the University of Florida in Gainesville and Rollins College.
In addition to his considerable consulting and advisory expertise, Dr. Jones is also a highly experienced scholar. He is currently a member of the economics department faculty at the University of South Florida, and has also taught at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, Florida Southern College, and Hillsborough Community College. In his 17 years of collegiate teaching, Dr. Jones has provided instruction for over 10,000 students in over 20 different courses in economics, marketing, and finance; both at the undergraduate and graduate level of study. Dr. Jones has also been an advisor to some the world's largest companies, including the Walmart Corporation and Coca-Cola. In total, Dr. Jones has been involved in more than 500 projects over his 32-year career.
